Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information WavelyAudio handles when you visit this website, buy from us or contact us, why we need it, who sees it and what you can ask us to do with it.

WavelyAudio is responsible for your personal information (the "controller"). We are based in Szeged, Hungary. VAT number: 92374254-1-26. Contact: wavelyaudio@outlook.com.

1. Information we handle

  • Order information: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, shipping and billing address, what you ordered (bundle, colours, add-ons), the amount paid and the order date.
  • Payment information: you enter your card or wallet details into the Whop checkout, not into our systems. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, failed or was refunded. We never see your full card number.
  • Messages: anything you write to us by email, and our replies.
  • Technical information: when your browser loads a page, the servers that host this site receive standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, device and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Your cart: the item you add to your cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is still there when you come back. It is not sent to us until you check out.

2. Where it comes from

  • From you, when you place an order or email us.
  • From Whop, which runs our checkout and tells us about your order and payment.
  • Automatically from your browser when you use the site, as described above.

3. Why we use it

  • To fulfil your order: process it, pass it to our supplier for shipping, send tracking information, handle returns, refunds and Shipping Protection claims, and answer your questions. We need this to perform our contract with you.
  • To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax and accounting records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
  • To protect the shop and our customers: preventing fraud and abuse, keeping the website secure, and establishing or defending legal claims. These are our legitimate interests.
  • With your consent, where we ask for it. We do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

  • Whop, which hosts this website, provides the checkout, processes payments and handles applicable sales taxes and VAT.
  • Our supplier and shipping carriers, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and order contents so they can pack and deliver your parcel.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, when we need their help.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.
  • A buyer of the business, if WavelyAudio is ever sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.

5. Whop

When you pay, you use Whop's checkout. Whop processes the information you give it there to take your payment, prevent fraud and meet its own legal obligations. For that processing Whop is responsible under Whop's privacy policy, which we recommend reading.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your cart is kept in your browser's local storage. Our hosting provider and the Whop checkout set a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for security, fraud prevention and completing a payment. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not need your consent.

7. International transfers

Some of the companies we work with are located outside the European Economic Area, including Whop in the United States and suppliers and carriers in the countries your order passes through. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: for as long as Hungarian tax and accounting law requires, currently 8 years.
  • Emails with customers: for as long as needed to resolve your request and any follow-up questions.
  • Technical request data: for a short period as part of normal server logs.

9. Security

We use reputable providers and keep access to order information limited to what is needed to run the shop. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Children

This shop is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, and in particular under the EU and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have your information deleted, unless we must keep it by law;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive the information you gave us in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email wavelyaudio@outlook.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will answer within one month. Residents of US states with privacy laws, such as California, have similar rights and can use them the same way.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Hungary that is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH, naih.hu); you can also contact the authority where you live.

Links to websites we do not run are provided for convenience. Their own privacy policies apply, not this one.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the way we run the shop changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
